​fulfilling a long-standing need to train Certified Ayurveda Therapists in traditional techniques and operations for Ayurveda healing at Vaidyagrama.  ​Punarnava Ayurveda Trust is committed to the administration and management of staff and students, toward their highest good, and best humanitarian interests.

VAIDYAGRAMA – THE SETTING
Vaidyagrama Healing Village is an Ayurveda clinic, hospital, retreat, herb farm and learning centre located near Coimbatore in the beautiful state of Tamil Nadu in south-central India, where Ayurveda has been carefully protected by scholars and clinicians from generation to generation, for thousands of years of accrued history.

Vaidyagrama is a unique setting for healing at all integrated levels of spirit, mind, emotions and body.  Vaidyagrama provides leadership to help restore authentic Ayurveda, the world’s oldest holistic medical science, increasingly in the context of today’s global health needs. 
16 YEARS, 120 BEDS, 200+ EMPLOYEES
The campus and its community development has been unfolding since 2009, aiming for ever higher ideals and practices. ​​Vaidyagrama was started with 2 patient rooms. Now, it has 120 beds, nestled in a lush green eco-friendly campus of 45 acres.

HISTORY AND GOALS
Each year Vaidyagrama also hears from several Ayurveda healing centres experience a shortage of qualified and passionate therapists to fill positions coming open due to attrition, expansion, family leave, etc.  Each year Vaidyagrama hears from the global community's interest in mastering the technical skills needed abroad. This program was created to meet these needs and was approved by the Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS - a Government of India Enterprise) Indian government in 2017. Program development slowed during quarantine and is now accepting its first applicants, both local Indians and international.

BENEFITS OF CERTIFICATION
Graduates are qualified to appropriately perform over 35 traditional procedures or operations, including pre-operative and post-operative care. 
​Therapists become proficient in patient management, herbal preparations, operations, sanitation, and team communications. Certified Ayurveda Therapists can be employed in natural settings such as Ayurveda clinics and treatment centres in India, and in the Spa industry internationally. 
Graduates gain life-long skills and knowledge in holistic health care while living and learning through authentic immersion. 
IMMERSIVE LEARNING
​The lush residential setting at the Vaidyagrama campus provides a unique setting for immersive learning with experienced professionals, fresh medicinal herbs, healthy daily meals, temple, community events and much more.  Vaidyagrama has stood for excellence in learning, healing and living during these 16 years.

1. Twelfth Standard/Grade, High School Graduation or equivalent
2. High standard of health, stamina, and hygiene

   Starting by third week
4. Group Mantra  •  6.15 -7.15 am & 6.15-7.15 pm
5. ​Saturday Seva (volunteerism) 2-5 pm 
6. Sunday Day off  
7. ​Graduation Ceremony  • ​9 am, Sept. 27, 2025

• Student progress is charted by weekly quizzes, monthly tests, mid-term examinations and final written, oral, and practical examinations.
• Prepared attendance and punctuality are required for graduation.​

FeeS

International Applicants: $9,700 USD before March 12 and USD $10,340 thereafter. 
Indian Applicants: INR 1,50,000 before March 12 and INR 1,65,000 thereafter. ​
Cancellation Policy: Once the course commences, no refunds.

LEAVE POLICY

1 week vacation after the midterm exam. Emergency leave and sick leave on case to case basis, permission required, and proof to be submitted.

Certificate

Your Certificate of Successful Completion will be awarded from Punarnava Ayurveda Trust, with recognition and approval of the Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS - a Government of India Enterprise​) on the last day, at the Vaidyagrama campus. Friends and family are welcome. Ayurveda Training Accreditation Board (ATAB) under the AYUSH Ministry has been accepted our listing. You will be qualified as a Certified Ayurveda Paricharaka Therapist.

1. What are the program objectives? 
   • To train prospective therapists to understand and apply appropriate body therapies from a wide repertoire of ancient techniques
   • To empower trainees to perform appropriate body therapies for individual therapeutic needs
   • To develop the Vaidyagrama family locally and internationally, to live in harmony with one another and nature
2. What are the Pre-requisites? 
   • Successful completion of Grade 12, Twelfth Standard, or equivalent. Age 18 and over, with good health, strength, and stamina
   • Commitment to integrate Vaidyagrama’s principles of sustainable living
   • English competency
3. What's in the Curriculum? 
   • Hybrid Gurukula and westernised learning styles
   • Morning theory and afternoon practical sessions for optimum individualised learning
   • Weekly quiz, monthly test, mid-term examination, final examination with oral presentation
   • Saturdays are for study, electives and Seva (volunteerism) in the community
   • Sundays are free time
   • Let your instructor know where you will be at all times

5. What is the facility like? 
   • Teaching will take place primarily in the Vaidyeshvaram classroom
   • Practical learning will take place primarily in the Cluster 5 treatment rooms.
   • Accommodation is provided separately for Indian students (3-4 per room) and international. participants (2-3 per room) in Cluster 5
6. What is the program benefits? 
   • Indian graduates begin their employment at Vaidyagrama, and perform a variety of duties for direct patient care
   • International graduates will return to their country of origin to work in an Ayurveda clinic, hospital, or spa setting, or create their own practice according to local licensing

7. Can you tell more about the Syllabus?
   • Introduction to Ayurveda history and philosophy
   • Introduction to Ayurveda Anatomy, Physiology, Marma, etc.  
   • Self-care principles and practices from traditional texts
   • Indications, contra-indications, methodologies, and special considerations for a variety of traditional therapies
   • Patient evaluation skills such as use of sphygmomanometer, thermometer, observation, speech, enquiry and reporting
   • Selected herbal medicinal preparations, topical herbal applications
   • Patient care and communication, team participation, record-keeping
   • Treatment room protocols: prayers, air quality, sound quality, sanitation
